This listing is for the following Johnson Brothers Bonjour pieces. 4 dinner plates 9 3/4.

4 bread plates 6 3/4. Used; Good condition with scratches & wear due to usage. There are some areas on the pieces (usually the back) that have some nicks.

I assume this is part of the manufacturing process. An example is in the last photo.
