Amazing vintage Johnson Brothers Old Britain Castles Blue 3-piece tea set, featuring detailed blue castle scenes on white earthenware. The pattern is'Old Britain Castles. Originally produced in England starting in 1930. This set includes an'Old Britain Castles' footed teapot. Blue and white Farnham Castle pattern square shaped.

This transferware design shows bucolic scenes of an English castles and countryside. In this case Farnham Castle in 1798. It has a lovely classical border. Old Britain Castles' was introduced around 1930. Ideal for use or display. It is marked on the base with the Johnson Bros Crown stamp that used in the 1930's and 40's. Also included is the Johnson Brothers Old Britain Castles Lidded Sugar Bowl, and the milk jug Blue. Showing scenes from 1792 including Carnarvon Castle, Fountains Abbey, Kirstall Castle and Powderham Castle. The Teapot is 14 cm tall, 25 cm long, the milk jug is 8 cm tall, and 15.5 cm long and the lidded sugar bowl is 11 cm tall, and 14.5 cm long. All are in good vintage condition with no chips cracks or crazing.
